Product Development Role:

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in product design and development, with experience in creating innovative furniture designs that meet market trends and customer needs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and Prototyping: Develop and execute new product designs and prototypes based on market research and client requirements
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of product concepts with business goals
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies to assess the practicality of new designs and materials for manufacturing
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical drawings, product specifications, and BOMs for new designs
  • Prototype Development: Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation to ensure quality and functionality
  • Supplier Management: Work with suppliers to identify and source suitable materials for product development
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines
  • Production Support: Provide support for production ramp-up, troubleshooting any issues during the transition from prototype to manufacturing
  • Documentation and Records: Maintain thorough documentation of all product development processes, iterations, and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 1 year in product development, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or 3ds Max. Familiarity with prototyping techniques and tools
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of furniture materials, production processes, and quality standards
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
  • Innovative Mindset: Ability to think creatively and drive innovation in product design and development
