Junior Financial Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with the accounting team, data analyst and senior financial analyst to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  2. Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecasts, reports and operational metrics tracking systems.
  3. Analyse financial data and create sophisticated financial models for strategic decision support.
  4. Provide regular financial performance reporting and prepare insights for leadership reviews.
  5. Evaluate past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends and develop actionable recommendations for improvement.
  6. Compare and analyse actual results with further plans and forecasts to evaluate financial performance.
  7. Establish and enforce policies and procedures to guide cost analysis processes.
  8. Offer in-depth analysis of trends and forecast, recommending actions for optimization.
  9. Analyse and interpret data, making comparative and predictive analyses to inform business decisions.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and current events.
  11. Develop and maintain complex valuation models.
  12. Effectively communicate complex financial information to diverse stakeholders and groups.
  13. Promote productivity by creating and maintaining content on time, with attention to detail and an emphasis on identifying and engaging target audiences.
  14. Work collaboratively as a team player, contributing to a positive and dynamic work environment.
  15. Demonstrate ability to multitask and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Job Specification:

  1. Expertise in MS Excel, including spreadsheet creation and advanced formula application.
  2. Able to present complex financial data using detailed reports and charts on visualization tools such as Power BI/Tableau.
  3. Familiarity with finance databases and ability to extract relevant information.
  4. Demonstrable strategic thinking skills, with the ability to drive business growth through informed decision-making.
  5. Proven ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
  6. Assist in financial planning and analysis, providing actionable insights to drive business strategy.
  7. Maintain and track reports for upcoming projects, ensuring seamless project execution.
  8. Able to streamline functions and demonstrate passion for learning and professional development.
  9. Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication, to effectively engage with colleagues and stakeholders.
  10. Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to work independently, driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
  11. Experience presenting to senior executives, communicating complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  12. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with strong quantitative and analytical competency.

Qualification:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  2. ACCA certification highly valued.
  3. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in financial analysis and management.
