Senior Accountant Role

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced senior accountant to oversee the financial management of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.

Responsibilities include:

">

  • Delivering a full range of tax services within compliance with laws and regulations;

    ">

  • Providing innovative tax planning and reviewing complex income tax returns;

    ">

  • Managing tax provision and tax compliance process;

    ">

  • Improving processes by developing or implementing best practices;

    ">

  • Managing and coordinating tax audits and maintaining tax balances on general ledger;

    ">

  • Preparing all tax papers on a regular basis and handling all information data requests;

    ">

  • Obtaining and maintaining a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure;

    ">

  • Ensuring an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close;

    ">

  • Ensuring the timely reporting of all monthly financial information;

    ">

  • Assisting the Controller in daily banking requirements;

    ">

  • Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions;

    ">

  • Ensuring the monthly and quarterly Bank Compliance activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner;

    ">

  • Supporting budget and forecasting activities;

    ">

  • Maintaining high-quality work by monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining accuracy;

    ">

  • Responding to inquiries from directors and other finance personnel regarding financial results, special reporting requests, and similar matters;

    ">

  • Supervising the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met;

    ">

  • Providing training to new and existing staff as needed;

    ">

  • Working with direct reports to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitoring progress to enhance their professional development;

    ">

  • Preparing monthly financial reports;

    ">

  • Preparing monthly forecasting and budgeting for Sales, Receivables, Payables, and Cash Flow;

    ">

  • Verifying daily and monthly data entries and their reconciliations for the general ledger;

    ">

  • Tracking performance against budget and forecasts, explaining variances;

    ">

  • Managing stock-related reports and verifying stocks monthly;

    ">

  • Overseeing month-end close process and compliance with close schedule;

    ">

  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving general ledger journal entries;

    ">

  • Reconciling Accounts Receivable and Bank Statements on a monthly basis;

    ">

  • Designing and implementing new forms, formats, and systems for managing expenses;

    ">

  • Managing the general ledger system;

    ">

  • Maintaining practice management system and designing enhancements for improving its performance;

    ">

  • Assisting in gathering data and preparing schedules;

    ">

  • Coordinating and leading special projects;
