Medical Billing Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled medical billing professional to excel in our dynamic team at Capital Hospice.

About the Role

This full-time position is responsible for electronically processing all third-party patient claims, including data entry of payments received from third-party payers, resolving rejected and denied claims, and reconciling daily cash receipts with database records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process and submit electronic claims and payment notifications in compliance with CPT and ICD-10 coding systems.
  • Effectively resolve commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid denials through thorough research and follow-up communication.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to address claim rejections and reconcile discrepancies between database records and actual payments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of patient information into the Health Center database.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in medical billing and strong knowledge of relevant software applications.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing procedures, regulations, and industry standards.
