ROLE PROFILE

As a key member of our Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and timely management of purchase orders, tracking, and closure for all external suppliers. Your primary focus will be on compliance with procurement policies while ensuring efficient payment processes to suppliers and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation, tracking, and closure of purchase orders in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to procurement policy.
  • Evaluate and ensure smooth payments to suppliers and contractors while maintaining compliance with procedures and policies.
  • Control the Work Order process to guarantee high service levels to internal stakeholders.
  • Effectively monitor capital expenditures at the site level.
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to contractors, including evaluation, training, record-keeping, enlistment, contract revisions, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records within the department as per company guidelines.
  • Supervise administrative duties for the Engineering Department.
  • Ensure continuous focus on EH&S (Environment, Health, and Safety) within your area of responsibility, striving for zero gaps.
  • Directly manage miscellaneous expenses in the Engineering Department.

Leadership Expectations

  • Lead and motivate contractors to excel, fostering high support levels among various functions.
  • Develop suppliers and onsite contractors through active participation in EH&S and job-specific trainings, aiming for improved work quality, responsiveness, and EH&S standards.
  • Support the financial management of engineering projects in light of the business's rapid expansion.

Relationship Management

  • Nurture strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service agencies to guarantee seamless delivery of services.
  • Establish effective relationships with internal customers to enhance service levels and velocity.
  • Coordinate networking events within the department.

Innovation and Improvement

  • Promote clear, innovative, and creative ideas to continually improve service levels and projects within the department.
  • Bid to bring about improvements in the area of EH&S by closing the gap to zero within your responsibility domain.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Mathematics, with at least 2-3 years of experience in sourcing and managing contractors.
  • Effective sourcing and billing management skills.
  • Open-mindedness and innovation towards conflict resolution.
  • Solid facilitation skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical ability, proactivity, and capacity to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of strategy and policies for efficient working.
  • Ability to persuade, influence, and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
