Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer Leader

We are looking for a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and be able to guide a team of engineers towards delivering high-quality software products.

  • As a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer Leader, you will be responsible for guiding the development of our software products, providing technical guidance to the engineering team, and collaborating with product management and design teams to ensure that our products meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and plans.
  • Mentor and coach engineers to help them grow professionally and personally.
  • Collaborate with product management and design teams to define product requirements.
  • Work with the engineering team to identify and prioritize technical debt.
  • Develop and implement processes and tools to improve team performance and efficiency.
Requirements
  • At least 9+ years of software development experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or equivalent role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Javascript, Typescript, or Go. Experience with React.js, Next.js, and Node.js will go a long way in this role.
  • Experience with foundational backend and infrastructure technologies, like PostgresSQL, Nginx, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of full-stack architecture, performance optimization, and scalability principles within an Enterprise-class software system.
  • Able to make effective trade-offs in regards to both engineering and product requirements, while balancing short term and long term needs.
  • Experience developing cross-disciplinary collaboration between engineering, operations, support, and product groups.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring software engineers.
  • Experience with staffing, interviewing, building, and retaining teams.
  • Experience conveying complex ideas in written, verbal, and presentational formats to get buy-ins from diverse stakeholders.
  • Ideal candidates have experience in networking and internet engineering best practices.
