Dispatcher Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Truck Dispatcher to join our team at Gateway Dispatch Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Scheduling Management:
  • Plan and organize truck drivers' assignments based on shipment specifications and customer preferences.
  • Create efficient routes to maximize delivery windows, reduce fuel consumption, and minimize costs.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to account for unexpected delays, traffic changes, or shifting delivery priorities.
• Record-keeping and Documentation:
  • Accurately record all cargo details, including collection and delivery times, distance traveled, fuel consumption, and any issues or delays experienced.
  • Create and maintain bills of lading, shipping manifests, and delivery receipts in accordance with business standards and regulatory requirements.
• Problem-solving:
  • Identify and proactively address any transportation operations issues or challenges to prevent delays and minimize interruptions.
  • Manage emergency scenarios, such as mechanical failures, accidents, or adverse weather conditions, by developing backup plans and providing assistance to drivers when required.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • E nsure adherence to applicable regulations, including hours of service, weight restrictions, and safety standards, to preserve legal and operational integrity.
  • Monitor driver performance and actions to promote safe driving habits and prevent infractions or accidents.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Foster collaboration with other departments, including customer service, logistics, and warehousing, to optimize procedures, improve productivity, and enhance overall service quality.
  • Offer guidance and support to truck drivers by addressing their concerns, assisting with route planning, and promoting efficient team communication.

• A high school degree or equivalent is required; further education or training in transportation management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in logistics or dispatching, ideally within the transportation sector.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in computer software applications, including dispatching software, GPS navigation systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Full-time, part-time, contract, and fresher positions are available. Expected working hours: 40 per week. Ability to commute: Lahore (required). Ability to relocate: Lahore (required).
