Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the planning, implementation, monitoring, and supervision of activities in assigned districts under the DISC 2.0 program in Sindh.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the focal person for assigned districts to ensure effective coordination and liaison at the district and provincial levels.
  • Assist the Deputy Manager Field Ops in coordinating with project partners to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives.
  • Organize and conduct workshops related to project activities, including orientation, inception, and dissemination sessions.
  • Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to develop follow-up action plans and facilitate participation in provincial/district-level meetings.
  • Establish relationships with public health facilities and community mobilizers to track gaps and provide support in addressing them.
  • Work closely with district health authorities to facilitate nominations for trainings, attendance at conferences/meetings, and other project-related activities.
  • Mentor district-level DISC 2.0 partners, assess their competency levels, and identify areas requiring support.
  • Meet regularly with provincial health and population teams to update on gaps in delivering quality health/FP/DMPA-SC SI services at the district level.
  • Coordinate external delegate visits to the district, arranging meetings between delegates and project stakeholders in the province.
  • Track performance indicators, success criteria, targets, and milestones, compiling this information into a presentable format for the program team.
  • Collect data from health facilities or district offices based on requirements.
  • Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly updates as needed by the Deputy Manager Field Ops.
  • Ensure timely response and execution of requests from the core team.
  • Maintain systematic records of program documentation, creating and managing filing systems, and designing innovative ways to manage knowledge and information tracking needs.
  • Represent the organization at conferences and public forums when required.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a master's degree in public health or a related field, with an MBA being an asset.
  • At least 5 years of experience in program management within the non-profit sector, including working with implementing partners.
  • Experience working at the district level in Sindh, preferably in health-related initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of program design, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
  • Basic data analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Initiative and willingness to learn, with skills in knowledge transfer.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to frequently travel across Sindh, Pakistan.
  • Excellent project management skills with analytical and quick problem-solving abilities.
