Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Optimization Specialist

About the Role:
This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Cloud Engineer - FinOps to join our team and drive efficiency in cloud infrastructure management. As a key member of the cloud team, you will be responsible for optimizing and managing an organization's cloud infrastructure, ensuring efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
- Implement and adhere to FinOps practices for efficient cloud cost management.
- Collaborate with security teams to integrate SecOps best practices into the cloud environment.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with FinOps and SecOps guidelines.
- Develop and maintain efficient reporting mechanisms for cloud-related metrics and KPIs.
- Perform in-depth analysis of cloud usage, costs, and security incidents.
- Provide actionable insights to optimize cloud performance, cost efficiency, and security.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to design scalable and secure cloud solutions.
- Ensure the implementation aligns with best practices for performance, security, and cost optimization.
- Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address performance issues.
- Continuously optimize cloud resources to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect cloud-based systems and data.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide cloud solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of FinOps and Cloud Operations experience.
- Technical understanding of AWS service offerings.
- Strong quantitative data analysis skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint or similar programs.
- Understanding of security processes, controls, and tools.
- Proven experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and security best practices in a cloud environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator Associate) are a plus.
