Sports Editor Position

We are seeking a highly motivated sports enthusiast with extensive knowledge of various sports to fill this exciting role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research, gather, and write engaging sports news articles and expert opinions on current events.
  • Interact remotely with athletes, sports organizations, and relevant stakeholders to gather information and promote the platform.
  • Pursue in-depth interviews with sports personalities and key stakeholders across diverse settings;
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of athlete profiles, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate closely with the news team, photographers, and editors to deliver high-quality content.
  • Provide live coverage of significant events through online reporting.
  • Establish and maintain relationships to ensure a consistent flow of news.
  • Analyze press releases, media reports, and other sources to identify and investigate compelling stories.
  • Create and publish news content using the content management system.
  • Develop and implement an effective social media strategy, including posting updates and responding to comments and interactions.

This Sports Editor position plays a crucial role in promoting domestic sports and highlighting talented athletes who often lack exposure due to limited media coverage. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to achieve this goal.
