Enterprise Linux System Manager

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux System Manager to oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the reliability and performance of Linux servers through regular installations, configurations, and updates.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of the infrastructure by applying necessary patches, updates, and kernel upgrades.
  • Administer and optimize MySQL and MariaDB databases to guarantee data integrity and system performance.
  • Monitor and manage VMware environments to ensure efficient resource utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Track system and application performance using various monitoring tools, ensuring high availability and responsiveness.
  • Provide expert technical support and recommendations to clients through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop automation scripts to streamline system processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Configure and maintain Apache/Nginx web servers to host applications and websites securely and efficiently.
  • Update and manage WordPress instances to ensure security, performance, and user experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Linux System Manager in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Debian.
  • Strong understanding of patching methodologies, system updates, and package management.
  • Expertise in MySQL and MariaDB administration, including backup, replication, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies and monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent client handling abilities.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • Experience in web server administration (Apache/Nginx) and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of WordPress configuration, security, and performance tuning.
