Senior Linux Infrastructure Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Infrastructure Specialist to manage and maintain our Linux-based systems, ensuring seamless performance and security.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust Linux infrastructure to meet business needs.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our systems by applying necessary patches, updates, and kernel upgrades.
  • Optimize MySQL and MariaDB database performance to guarantee efficient data processing and storage.
  • Manage VMware environments to maximize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Utilize monitoring tools to track system and application performance, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action.
  • Collaborate with clients to resolve technical issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Configure and maintain Apache/Nginx web servers to securely host applications and websites.
  • Manage WordPress instances to ensure security, performance, and user experience.

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Linux Infrastructure Specialist in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Debian.
  • Strong knowledge of patching methodologies, system updates, and package management.
  • Expertise in MySQL and MariaDB administration, including backup, replication, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies and monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent client handling abilities.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
  • Experience in web server administration (Apache/Nginx) and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of WordPress configuration, security, and performance tuning.
