  • About the Role

    The Know Your Customer (KYC) Analyst plays a crucial role in client onboarding and exceptions, adhering to regulatory standards and jurisdictions.

  • Main Responsibilities:

    Job Description:

    1. Understand database KYC/COB policies and central bank rules and regulations relating to KYC/AML.
    2. Perform all KYC-related activities to ensure smooth and prompt service to customers and meticulous compliance of internal and regulatory directives.
    3. Hands-on with static data set-up performed in KYC and downstream systems. Ensure that account opening / closing is done in line with policies and procedures.
    4. Maintain effective relationships with business managers, AML, Compliance, Credit, Management, and other Back Office areas.
    5. Collaborate with both business and COB analysts with the resolution of complex and special case issues.
    6. Prepare management information systems per business, regulatory, and internal reporting expectations.
    7. Work with onboarding process stakeholders regarding identifying process inefficiency and contribute to the overall reduction in turnaround times.
    8. Recognize any key emerging risks that may exist within the scope of onboarding and work with relevant stakeholders to ensure they are flagged and mitigated.
    9. Ensure compliance to Standardised List Entries over Business As Usual Processes (KYC and Customer Acceptance Model).
    10. Assist the COB Lead/Manager during internal/external audits and KYC-related queries from local regulators.
    11. General KYC documentation handling/scanning and filing of physical documents.
    12. Stay abreast on Anti-Financial Crime related regulatory changes and industry trends and topics to ensure the quality of the Client Due Diligence operation meets policy requirements.
    13. Analyse Anti-Financial Crime risks associated with the client from a technical perspective, identify and escalate potential risks and operational issues as appropriate.
    14. Adhere to the values and works in line with internal policies and guidance and regulatory requirements.
    15. Monitor the queue and check the status of KYC cases.
    16. Assist on key COB projects and initiatives.
