Job Title: Software Development Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic software developer who is passionate about tools and enjoys working with multiple projects and a wide range of technologies.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with product, design, customers, and operations teams to define and implement solutions.

You will be part of a global team, and strong collaboration and communication skills are essential. You will work out of our Lahore office as an extension of the division-based Global Support Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to break down and solve complex problems, especially related to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support issues.
  • Collaboration: Work with multiple teams to help define solutions and implement them effectively.
  • User Experience Improvement: Research user preferences and continuously improve the user experience.
  • Research: Stay current with new technologies and best practices to stay ahead of the curve and solve problems more efficiently.
  • Code Reviews & Troubleshooting: Engage with support teams to investigate code, database issues, and bugs. Provide training to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams on product behavior.
  • Documentation: Write detailed tickets for bug issues, track them in Jira or Azure DevOps, and collaborate with product management to prioritize fixes.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: At least 4+ years in software development.
  • Full Stack Development: Practical experience with:
  • Backend: Java, REST APIs, SQL Databases
  • Frontend: Any modern frontend framework like Angular, React, or Vue
  • Development Practices: Knowledge of design principles, software engineering best practices, code reviews, source control (likely Git), and build processes.
  • Operating Systems: Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Software Design: Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and distributed software systems.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps for managing the software development lifecycle.
  • Communication: Excellent spoken and written English skills are a must.
