The key responsibilities of this role include:
Liaising with various departments to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, and supplies based on operational needs.
Conducting market research to gather data on pricing trends and material availability.
Identifying and evaluating potential vendors/suppliers, obtaining quotations, and leading negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Preparing estimated cost sheets for imports, entering relevant data into the ERP system, and generating purchase orders for management approval.
Verifying that all items delivered by vendors meet the specifications and quality standards defined by the user department and purchase order.
Arranging transportation and customs clearance for prompt delivery of materials from vendor premises to the factory.
Coordinating with service providers for scheduling, expediting and tracking of shipments.
Coordinating with the Finance department to ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
Making arrangements for returning rejected items/goods/materials to suppliers.
Preparing monthly management reports.
