Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Manager to support farmers in producing high-quality seed and chip-stock that meet international standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop scouting and providing recommendations to growers for optimal yields.
  • Offering advisory services to build farmers' capabilities from sowing to harvesting and post-harvest handling.
  • E nsuring good agricultural practices are followed on farms producing potatoes.
  • Monitoring crop performance in the field and recommending corrective actions.
  • Participating in training sessions and forums showcasing best practices and facilitating their adoption among growers.
  • Building growers' capacity to adopt sustainable farming programs and implement their agendas.
  • Assisting growers in preparing farms for audits according to the audit cycle.
  • Supporting regional managers in variety trials, evaluations, and research activities as needed.
  • Developing new areas to extend the fresh potato supply window, reducing reliance on storage and ensuring high-quality fresh potatoes.
  • Implementing quality assurance journeys with seed and chip stock traceability.
  • Training field teams and farmers' staff on crop best practices.
  • Promoting machinery use at field operations to benefit both growers and the business, ensuring cost-effective crop quality.
  • Managing specific potato projects and programs aimed at improving yields and quality under supervision.
  • Providing general advisory services to growers without endorsing specific brands.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture or related field.
  • Knowledge of potato-growing regions, farmers, and crop management.
  • Technical knowledge of pest control.
  • Fluency in English and local languages.
  • Strong analytical skills and results-oriented mindset.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of supervisory experience in an agribusiness company.
