Job Title

Software Configuration Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the integrity of software and documentation throughout maintenance and sustainment activities.
  • Manage and validate software build contents, coordinating access to shared test environments as needed.
  • Identify baseline and non-baseline products, maintaining accurate records.
  • Research, evaluate, prototype, implement, and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance build systems across multiple languages and platforms.
  • Monitor, audit, verify, and provide version-description for program documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive CM programs, encompassing CM planning, configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration verification and audit.
  • Utilize CM tools and processes to define, educate, and implement change and configuration control processes at project and enterprise levels.
  • Participate in working and planning groups, fostering collaboration and open communication.
  • Support project management, testers, and developers in the use and improvement of build and release systems and processes.
  • Automate code analysis, unit testing, and deployment of build artifacts to test systems, streamlining workflows.
  • Regularly audit procedures to ensure compliance and adherence to established standards.
  • Support CCB activities, adhering to Sponsor-defined CCB-related procedures.
  • Maintain project-specific functional, allocated, and product baselines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Job Specification:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in related fields, with a minimum of 8 years in software configuration, preferably in software development, systems engineering, or similar areas.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Proficiency in CM tools such as TFS, Jira, etc.
  • Industry education and certification are highly valued.
  • Experience with technical or scientific software, including understanding of Java, HTML/CSS, and relational databases.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, enhancing efficiency and scalability.
  • Familiarity with the Linux command line, enabling seamless navigation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with software build automation, streamlining development and deployment processes.
