About This Role">

This Senior Officer position is a vital part of our Mental Health and Psychosocial Support team. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing MHPSS activities, providing support to field teams, and ensuring program success.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily program implementation, conducting weekly meetings with MHPSS staff, and following up on the recruitment of IMC MHPSS field staff. They will also be expected to ensure proper planning and logistics, collect daily information through reports and data collection sheets, and represent IMC at interagency and local coordination meetings.

The role also involves monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, and reporting. The successful candidate will be expected to provide input on MHPSS activities and trainings, make sure all planned activities align with project indicators, objectives, and timeline, and assist in the development of M&E tools and mechanisms.

This role requires excellent organizational and managerial skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality work. Fluency in spoken relevant local language and English is essential, as well as good communication, teamwork skills, and the ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.

About You
  • Bachelor's degree in mental health field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of previous relevant experience in mental health activities and programs
  • Familiarity with IASC MHPSS guidelines in emergency settings
  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring high-quality work
  • Fluency in spoken relevant local language and English
  • Good communication, teamwork skills, and ability to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
