Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project planning and management for established initiatives. They will ensure projects are completed to specification, within an established timeframe, and with high quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
  2. Comprehensive Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge client requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  3. Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  4. Communication: Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
  5. Economic Analysis: Analyze economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit and return-on-investment standards.
  6. Modification Review: Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.
  7. Technical Leadership: Oversee and support the analysis, design, and development of mobile and web application development projects.
  8. Agile Methodologies: Implement Agile-based methodologies to ensure quality delivery of projects within the allocated timeline.
  9. Team Management: Manage and lead a team of software developers, SQAs, and designers.
  10. Foresight: Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field.
  2. Work Experience: 6 - 12 years of software development work experience with 3 to 4 years in the capacity of Project/Development Manager/Lead.
  3. Agile Framework: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of implementing at least one Agile Framework.
  4. Project Management: Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  5. Mentorship: Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing rising talent in the technology department.
  6. Offshore Development: Experience working in an offshore software development environment.
  7. Analytical Thinking: Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  8. Professional Certification: Professional Project Management Certification is a plus.
  9. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
