As a skilled Site Reliability Engineer/DevOps professional, you will have the opportunity to shape the foundation of a platform that empowers SaaS platforms and small businesses to operate like tech companies.

About the Role

This is a high-leverage role where you'll design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable infrastructure on AWS while ensuring security best practices and cost optimization.

Key responsibilities include leading container orchestration efforts using Docker and Docker Swarm, developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines primarily using GitHub Actions, and monitoring and optimizing system performance using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Additionally, you'll work on various technical requirements such as AWS services, Docker, Terraform or CloudFormation, Node.js ecosystem, TypeScript applications, and WebSocket deployments.

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Strong experience with AWS services, particularly EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudFront, and IAM
  • Extensive knowledge of Docker and Docker Swarm, including experience with multi-container applications, volume management, and container networking
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with Node.js ecosystem and TypeScript applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration at scale
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Experience with database administration and optimization
  • Familiarity with WebSocket deployments and real-time application infrastructure

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with development teams and stakeholders are required. A proactive approach to system improvements and technical debt management is also necessary. Additionally, ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation is expected.
