Job Title: Oracle SQL Expert

A seasoned professional is required to join our organization as an Oracle SQL expert.

About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development manager in planning and administration of product support and development, and performing solution design, system setup and maintenance in issue resolution and enhancement requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with key client business and IT users to define business requirements and design solutions to meet their needs.
  2. Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise on Oracle/SQL.
  3. Lead process redesign efforts.
  4. Manage technical and test teams to implement functionality.
  5. Manage change activities to ensure business adoption and effective user training.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and manage senior stakeholder expectations.
  2. Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle to deliver projects on time.
  3. Lead teams in the design and delivery of Oracle/SQL solutions.

Requirements:The ideal candidate will have experience working on large-scale, high-profile, and complex Oracle/SQL implementation programmes delivering to tight timescales. Client-facing experience within multiple industries is also welcomed as well as deep Oracle/SQL functional or technical architecture expertise including:

  1. Oracle Applications 11i and Release 12 experience.
  2. SQL 2008 and all previous versions of SQL and their upgrade to Latest SQL.
  3. Knowledge of some or all Oracle HRMS modules.
  4. Techno-functional skills viewed favourably - for example, familiarity with the Oracle Apps schema, workflow, SQL, TOAD, etc.

The selected individual should possess at least 5-8 years experience with all aspects of an Oracle HRMS implementation or upgrade project including requirements gathering, fit/gap analysis, functional design documentation, user acceptance testing, training, and deployment activities.

Job Requirements

Other Qualifications or Skills:A minimum 2.1 Bachelors Degree or relevant experience. A consulting background and experience of at least 2 end-to-end Oracle HRMS implementation project lifecycles are preferred. Exposure to Project Management methodologies is necessary. Strong team player and team leadership skills (for Project Lead roles) are a must. Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
