Job Overview

Contour Software seeks an experienced Cloud Support Engineer to maintain the stability and security of our cloud infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related tickets, improving helpdesk processes, and implementing automation where possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and resolve infrastructure-related helpdesk tickets to ensure smooth cloud operations.
  • Maintain and provision highly available cloud environments using Terraform Ansible and automation tools.
  • Troubleshoot Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure components including Virtual Machines Networking vNET VPN NSG Firewalls DNS and Backup Vaults.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to optimize cloud configurations and security.
  • Implement and improve automation for infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and industry standards ISO27001 PCI-DSS.
  • Document solutions update the knowledge base and continuously improve support workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in cloud computing with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform for writing handling and validating infrastructure as code.
  • Proficiency with Ansible including writing and maintaining playbooks.
  • Strong understanding of Azure and AWS services such as Virtual Machines VPN Backup Vault NSG Cognito and Automation Accounts.
  • Experience with networking concepts in the cloud including virtual networks VPNs proxies and firewalls.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows Active Directory and cloud networking.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with helpdesk ticketing systems e.g. Jira and optimizing support workflows.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices including handling common security issues in an AWS/Azure/virtualized setting.
  • Ability to automate tasks optimize workflows and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficiency.
  • Experience with SQL Server SMTP and IIS configurations.
