About the Role:

The Communications Team is responsible for communicating a compelling narrative about LUMS. As an important member of this team, you will work with existing communicators to develop effective print and digital products for multiple audiences.

You will be 'ahead' of the game on news/events coverage, curating and uploading stories and original pieces for the website. Your duties will also include creating and reviewing social media content, as well as writing, editing, proofing, and content management across various Advancement units.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Website: Be proactive in news/events coverage, curate and upload stories and original pieces.
  2. Social Media Content Creation and Review (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube): Create engaging content that resonates with our audience.
  3. Curating print and digital assets, PPTs, newsletters, and tracking reports.
  4. Writing, editing, proofing, and content management across the various Advancement units.
  5. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Must have impeccable writing and communication skills. Demonstrated writing and editing capabilities are critical core requirements.
  2. Be proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
  3. Have strong interpersonal skills and be an excellent team player.
  4. Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and remain calm under pressure.
  5. Have strong interest in audience engagement and feedback.
  6. Possess experience with email service providers (for example Blackbaud).
  7. Have proficiency in looking for leads for curating original stories.
  8. Experience of working in higher education would be a plus.
  9. Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor (Hons) degree in Mass Communications or English.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience involving content creation, editing, and design communications in an organization, agency, or communications firm.
