Merchandising & Marketing Director Job Description

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Merchandising & Marketing Director to oversee our Knitted Garments operations. This strategic role will drive growth, build strong customer relationships, and deliver high-quality products on time.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive strategic growth, optimize production processes, and ensure timely deliveries of products from scratch to shipment
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to enhance our market presence, drive sales revenue, and expand our customer base
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with production teams to streamline logistics, improve supply chain efficiency, and ensure on-time delivery of orders
  • Work closely with the planning manager to determine optimal delivery schedules and production sequences, ensuring maximum productivity and minimal delays
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developments, and best practices in fabric selection, yarn management, trim and accessory procurement, and other relevant areas
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with buyers, both domestically and internationally, to foster strong relationships and drive business growth
  • Prepare detailed costing reports and pricing strategies for knit garments, ensuring accurate financial projections and optimal profitability
  • Perform market analysis, sales forecasting, and explore new markets and buyers to enhance business growth and drive revenue
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to elevate brand awareness, drive sales revenue, and expand our market presence
  • Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of emerging trends and opportunities in the global market
  • Develop and refine marketing strategies, segment target markets, and identify key buyers to enhance our buyer portfolio and approach planning
  • Create long-term business plans focused on capacity expansion, cost reduction, and improved on-time delivery
  • Negotiate prices, arrange buying meetings, and conduct cost analysis to ensure optimal profitability
  • Drive product development, analyze trends, forecast fashion directions, and source sustainable materials that meet buyer and company requirements
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring seamless production processes, timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest quality standards
