Medical Practitioner

A Medical Officer plays a vital role in promoting Infection Prevention and Control practices. As a key member of our team, you will demonstrate and promote IPC practices through visual aids and relevant information, education, and communication materials.

• Promote and demonstrate Infection Prevention and Control practices through visual aids and relevant IEC material.
• Conduct engagement sessions among healthcare workers at remote health care facilities and communities.
• Implement community engagement and conduct sessions on Infection Prevention and Control.
• Implement different project activities through Mobile Van Unit (MVU) to promote Infection Prevention and Control Practices.
• Represent the organization at local health forums/groups/meetings, promoting IPC and maintaining partnerships.
• Attend team meetings, providing updates and contributing to quarterly reports as directed by the project lead.
• Support communications strategies, including public events, training sessions, and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor and supervise IPC practices, using the IHHN-developed IPC checklist and Program assessment on IPCAF Tool.
• Develop monthly reporting on IPC checklist, prepare meeting minutes, and submit quarterly reports on IPCAF tool.
• Assist the District Focal Person in conducting district stakeholders/coordination meeting on IP Waste management committee meeting.
• Identify gaps in IPC practices and develop training materials with DFP and MEAL officer.
• Orient Youth Volunteers on community sessions and support the team in community activities.
• Arrange and conduct IPC orientation sessions for HCWs at COE.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of IPC best practices and guidelines.
