Operations Director

About the Job:

• This role requires a leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Nestl's Distribution Center and Raw & Packaging materials warehousing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure optimal utilization of staff, labor, and MHEs during shifts.
• Coordinate with transport representatives regarding vehicle availability and maintain efficiency by avoiding halts.
• Ensure First Entry First Out (FEFO) / status control while loading/offloading R&P materials.
• Maintain empty pallet supply for production and take corrective action in case of shortages well before time.
• Provide traceability of R&P Materials/finished goods data as required.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures across all operations.
• Implement Good Warehouse Practices and The Nestl's Food Safety Management System within warehousing operations/Distribution Center.
• Foster a safe and environmentally responsible work environment by ensuring safety and environmental responsibilities are met.
• Maintain strict adherence to company rules and regulations.
• Acknowledge and undertake additional duties and tasks beyond initial assignments.
• Perform internal and external assessments to maintain building structure, including PTW initiation/authorization when necessary.
• Ensure rejected materials are lifted back by suppliers before defined time periods.
• Minimize warehouse damages and losses through various initiatives.
• Promote energy consumption reduction through diverse projects.
• Manage visits and meetings effectively.
• Engage in SFSC (Supplier Facing Supply Chain) initiatives with suppliers to create mutually beneficial situations.
• Nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering or relevant field with at least 2 years of experience in Distribution/R&P Warehousing Operations in Supply Chain.
• Proficiency in MS Office, strong communication, presentation skills, and SAP 'MH Modules' knowledge.
• Proven ability to initiate successful projects.
• Capacity to collaborate with diverse and cross-functional teams to ensure business continuity.
• Familiarity with workplace safety and environmental sustainability principles.
• A 'can-do' mindset and adaptability to lead change.
• Ability to think creatively and adopt automation and digitalization strategies.
• Demonstrated team leadership and stress management skills.
• Continuous learning drive and willingness to contribute positively towards organizational goals.
• Experience in managing shopfloor teams, particularly in unionized environments.
