Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will design and build innovative Shopify apps that drive business growth. We seek an expert with extensive experience in developing and maintaining high-performance Shopify stores.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable e-commerce websites using the Shopify platform.
  • Design and develop custom Shopify apps from scratch for the Shopify App Store.
  • Create bespoke Shopify themes from scratch and modify existing ones to meet client needs.
  • Implement new features and functionalities using Shopify's platform and APIs.
  • Integrate third-party services and applications to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility of UI/UX designs to ensure seamless user interaction.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of Liquid templating language to customize and optimize Shopify themes and functionalities.
  • Manage website updates, including content changes, product uploads, and site maintenance tasks.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to store functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices.
Technical Requirements

Backend Development: Node.js, Ruby on Rails, REST/GraphQL API expertise

Shopify API Expertise: Storefront API, Admin API, Checkout API

Authentication & Security: OAuth 2.0, data security best practices

App Architecture: Embedded app development, Shopify App Bridge

Shopify Polaris: Familiarity with the Polaris UI framework for consistent design

Cloud Services & Hosting: AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, serverless architecture

Payments & E-commerce: Shopify Payments integration, general e-commerce knowledge

Third-Party Integrations: Working with external APIs

Testing: Unit, integration, and end-to-end testing

Business Understanding: Knowledge of Shopify merchants and market research
