Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented NOC Engineer to join our IT operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network and infrastructure systems, including servers, routers, switches, and applications to ensure 24/7 service continuity and fast incident response.
  • Investigate root causes of incidents and perform first-level troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Escalate critical issues to appropriate teams based on severity and impact.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken, and system performance metrics.
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and upgrades with minimal disruption to services.
  • Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance on network and server equipment to prevent technical issues.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and security teams to ensure system uptime and availability.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and update runbooks to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Support backup and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • At least 13 years of experience in NOC, IT operations, or network/system monitoring roles.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, or SolarWinds.
  • Familiarity with ticketing and ITSM platforms like Jira Service Desk or ManageEngine.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments.
  • Ability to diagnose and escalate issues quickly under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or ITIL Foundation are a plus.
