Bookkeeper Role Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple UK clients using industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records for clients using industry-standard software.
  2. Record financial transactions, including purchase invoices, sales invoices, bank transactions, journals, and adjustments.
  3. Perform regular bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  4. Prepare and submit VAT Returns and CIS returns for relevant clients.
  5. Assist in producing management accounts and year-end accounts to meet client needs.
  6. Communicate effectively with clients to resolve data queries and manage deliverables.
  7. Ensure high-quality bookkeeping services in line with UK accounting standards.

Required Qualifications:

  1. ACCA Affiliate (or equivalent qualification).
  2. Minimum 3-4 years of practical bookkeeping experience for UK clients.
  3. Proficiency in Sage, QuickBooks (Online & Desktop), and Microsoft Excel.
  4. Strong understanding of UK VAT and CIS return processes.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to manage multiple client assignments with accuracy and timeliness.
