Accounting Specialist

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to assume responsibility for coordinating financial tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Coordinate with management for payment approvals and check preparations
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable organisations such as FBR and UK laws

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent Bookkeeping skills are required
  • Interpersonal and communication skills are a must
  • Preparation of UK VAT returns is essential
  • Annual accounts preparation
  • English Skills (Written & Spoken)
  • Support senior and junior team members
  • Maintain ongoing maintenance of accounts
  • Support management in budget production
  • Cashflow utilisation and reserve protection
  • Audit financial information for inconsistencies
  • Provide tax planning strategies according to existing legislation
  • Maintain updated books on a routine basis
  • Draft letters and other necessary documents for correspondence
  • Deliver monthly accounting responsibilities accurately and within agreed timelines
  • Maintain financial records using various accounting software
  • Analyse financial data using different tools and techniques
  • Prepare financial accounts and supporting working papers in excel
  • Year adjustment calculations including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, deferred or accrued income etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills
  • Understanding of accounting and financial processes
  • Excellent English communication and presentational skills
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Advance knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ethical and professional behaviour

Qualification:

  • B.Com/ BSc/ M.Com /MBA/ MSc in Finance/Accounting
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT)
  • Experience in a UK based firm is essential

Work Details:

  • Work from home
  • Must be able to work in GMT hours (08:00 - 17:00)
