We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to join our team in a dynamic finance role.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within a busy finance function or to take their first steps into a career in credit control.

  • Manage the collection of debts from customers, ensuring timely payments and minimizing bad debt.
  • Contacting customers via phone to resolve payment issues and clarify any discrepancies.
  • Process payments accurately and update our system to reflect the changes.
  • Identify potential bad debts and escalate these to the Credit Control Manager as required.
  • Generate and send reminder letters and statements to customers.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times, responding promptly to queries and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Drive the reduction of invoice queries within the business.
  • Highlight any cash collection issues to the Credit Control Manager that may impact our financial performance.
  • Deliver high-quality reports to the business on a timely basis.
  • Conduct general administrative tasks within the finance department as required.
About You:
  • AAT qualification or working towards is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Recent graduates with a BA Accounting and Finance, or similar, will be considered.
  • You must possess strong verbal communication skills and have a confident telephone manner.
  • You should have excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • A hands-on approach to your work is essential.
  • You will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You should have solid IT skills and be technology savvy.
  • You will make decisions using good judgement quickly and efficiently.
  • You will be able to work independently.
  • You must maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times.
