Business Analyst – EHR Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to facilitate seamless collaboration between clinical teams and technical developers, focusing on EHR/EMR systems in the US healthcare domain.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience with clinical workflows, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare interoperability standards.

  • Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for EHR-related modules.
  • Create detailed business requirement documents, functional requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
  • Work closely with developers, QA, UI/UX designers, and clinical stakeholders to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements and align with healthcare data privacy.
  • Support clinical decision support, appointment scheduling, order entry, and documentation flows while collaborating on EHR integrations with labs, pharmacies, radiology, and billing systems.
  • Define and manage user roles and access controls within the application, translating clinical and operational needs into clear technical requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of EHR/EMR workflows: patient intake, charting, billing, labs, etc.
  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, CCD/CCR, and healthcare interoperability protocols.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory frameworks for data security and compliance.
  • Prior experience working in healthcare product or clinical software environments.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with custom-built EHR systems.
  • Exposure to clinical systems integration and real-world deployment.
  • Basic understanding of SQL or reporting dashboards for healthcare data.
