We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher to join our team as a Senior Instructor/Assistant Professor in the Centre of Oncological Research in Surgery (COORS).

As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of new research initiatives and projects, and participate in the supervision of graduate students, post-docs, and fellows.

  • Develop a plan to initiate and manage the Biorepository of clinical/surgical samples.
  • Conduct research related to surgical oncology, preferably related to stem cell biology in surgical oncology.

You should have:

  • Masters / PhD in the relevant subject area.
  • Research active with first-hand laboratory experience.
  • Experience of supervising graduate students, post-docs, and fellows will be preferred.
  • Published in journals of international repute.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
  • A track record of extramural grant funding. Applicants will be expected to develop collaborations with faculty across the different disciplines at AKU.
