Job Summary:

Rocket Lab is a leading aerospace company seeking an experienced Senior Business Manager to play a key role in driving financial decisions. This position involves managing spend activities, creating insightful reports on expenditures, and developing strategies to ensure consistent financial practices across various budget areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead variance analysis vs budgets and execute comprehensive budgeting exercises across markets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cost optimization initiatives and strategic financial planning.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to control expenditures against allocated budgets for different markets.
  • Create systems and dashboards to enhance visibility and control over financial spends, aiding decision-making processes for stakeholders.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies or anomalies in spend tracking to Business Leaders and the Financial Planning & Analysis function.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to refine and enhance financial systems and processes.
  • Partner with data teams to resolve data integrity issues and ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reporting.
Requirements:
  • Up to 9 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required. SQL knowledge is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to gathering insights and data.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a hands-on and ownership-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field with a solid foundation in financial principles.
