Job Title: Data Collector

The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the Aga Khan University has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join their team as a data collector. This role will involve collecting patient data in health facilities, administering questionnaires, recording relevant information, and maintaining confidentiality.

The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collect patient data in health facilities, administer questionnaires, record relevant information, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Conduct door-to-door surveys.
  • Complete household-related questionnaires following project guidelines.
  • Deal with refusals and follow up with respondents on a daily basis.
  • Provide any other logistic support needed for the project.
Key Requirements:
  • Matriculate or above qualification.
  • At least one year of experience in community work and conducting household surveys.
  • Ability to provide oral instructions/information to patients and parents in colloquial English and/or Urdu.
  • Demonstrating professional integrity.
  • Mature, reliable, and responsible individual.
  • Able to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to speak and understand job-related English and Urdu.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
