HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

  • Operates centrifugal, reciprocating, and chiller systems along with associated pumps and equipment.
  • Monitors the operation of low-pressure air compressors, distribution systems, chillers, water circulation pumps, and monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate system efficiency and implement effective solutions to optimize performance.
  2. Monitor network devices and energy management communication devices; verify system availability and respond to error messages.
  3. Adjust, calibrate, and align equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  4. Develop and execute backup and recovery procedures.
  5. Update alarm system notifications.
  6. Reset malfunctioning lines or connections.
  7. Maintain and service HVAC/controls systems equipment and related components.
  8. Analyze and troubleshoot control circuits, electric pneumatic, electronic, and direct digital software issues.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance is essential.
  • Possession of an EPA license is mandatory.
  • Trade school certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift, move, or carry 50 pounds over a distance of 20 feet is necessary.
