About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Educator in Optometry and Orthoptics to join our team. As an Educator in Optometry and Orthoptics, you will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, developing your own teaching skills, and contributing to the planning of teaching programs.

Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will include:

  2. Teaching assigned courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students.">
  3. Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning.">
  4. Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.">
  5. Supervising student projects and field trips, and where appropriate, placements.">
  6. Participating in academic administration and contributing to the planning of teaching programs.">
  7. Developing and maintaining partnerships with local optometric practices and organizations.">
  8. Staying up-to-date with developments in the field of Optometry and Orthoptics and incorporating this knowledge into teaching practice.">
  9. Providing pastoral care and support to students.">
  10. Collaborating with colleagues to develop and deliver curriculum materials.">
  11. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and attendance.">
  12. Conducting research and publishing papers in reputable academic journals.">
  13. Representing the department at external events and conferences.">
  14. Participating in recruitment and selection processes for students and staff.">
