Job Description:

The Site Reliability Engineer is an intermediate level position on the DevOps career path. An SRE works as part of an agile development team but their focus is building and operating the infrastructure on which the applications run.

  • Building Infrastructure:
  • Developing, managing, and debugging high-volume, low-latency, high-performance applications that are highly available.
  • Experience in the deployment of APIs, object-oriented design, agile development methodologies such as Scrum.
  • Designing and developing unit, component, and functional tests, and test infrastructure.
  • Able to contribute in all phases of the product lifecycle.
  • Multitasking ability and able to work independently and self-driven.
  • Contribute to software life cycle strategies.

Key Activities:

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and automation technologies. They will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Linux, Bash scripting, AWS, GCP, Azure cloud environment, Java, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Git, GitLab CI/Jenkins.
  • System administration, security, and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technology, good grasp of fundamental security concepts.
