Our organization is seeking a Trainee Tax and Compliance professional to join our Finance team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial management, compliance, and reporting across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of financial information for tax audits.
  • Assist in collecting financial documentation to support financial substance.
  • Prepare reconciliations of financial records to ensure alignment with tax liability settlements.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT and WHT tax returns on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants on various tax-related assignments.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on tax-related transactions.
  • Assist in maintaining the tax calendar and ensuring compliance with deadlines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  • Preference for candidates enrolled in CA, ACMA, ACCA, or similar certification programs.
  • Understanding of direct and indirect taxation concepts.
  • Awareness of local tax laws and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with income tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with IRIS portals.
  • Ability to use ERP systems (optional but preferred).
