Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished accounting professional to oversee financial reporting, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes for our Grocery business in Saudi Arabia. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing the financial reporting, AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the monthly financial closing processes, providing sensitive financial data to key stakeholders in a timely manner, collaborating with various departments to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, this role involves managing the AP/AR function in the Saudi and Jordan markets, including ensuring timely and accurate posting of AP invoices from vendors, maintaining strong control over the Accrued Purchase ledger, preparing detailed reconciliation between Careem and vendor's data, providing assistance to vendors on queries related to AP/AR and creating timely AR invoices and ensuring proper accounting in the system.

This position also involves assisting the business team with finance and accounting-related activities, providing financial insights and support to enhance business decision-making processes, working closely with the tax team to ensure all invoices issued to and from the business are tax compliant in UAE and staying updated on tax regulations and ensuring adherence to all relevant tax laws.

  • Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) with a specialization in Accounting

Professional Qualification: Professional qualification from an accounting body (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, etc.)

Work Experience: Work experience of 3-5 Years

Past Experience: Past experience with a retail organization
