About the Role
  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team in Karachi.
  • The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university.
  • They should have experience in Retail Pharmacy or medium/large hospital settings, preferably one year in a similar role.
  • The successful candidate will be familiar with hospital pharmacy operations and local drug markets.
  • They should possess sound knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with medical professionals is essential.
Responsibilities
  1. Dispensing drugs in inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory pharmacies with precision and accuracy.
  2. Reviewing and processing physician orders for accurate therapeutic dosing.
  3. Monitoring lab reports for proper antibiotic use, drug-drug interactions, and duplication of same-class medications.
  4. Ensuring timely medication delivery to nursing units and patients.
  5. Verifying the accuracy of labels before dispensing.
  6. Completing drug expiry lists on time and ensuring their accuracy.
  7. Assisting in patient counseling for outpatient prescriptions and maintaining cash handling records.
  8. Preparing sterile injections, bulk compounding, and monitoring chemo critical lists.
  9. Managing inventory and tracking product expiration dates.
