Job Title: Account Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Officer to join our finance team. As an Account Officer, you will be responsible for performing high-volume data entry, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing financial reports.

The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting background, strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, and excellent analytical skills.

This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of our accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record all financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Perform high-volume data entry in accounting software and Excel spreadsheets
  • Maintain and update general ledgers, journals, vouchers, and supporting documentation
  • Prepare, review, and process invoices, vendor bills, credit notes, and receipts
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with account reconciliations
  • Maintain up-to-date records of accounts payable and receivable
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial record-keeping
  • Strong command over MS Excel – including formulas, sorting, filtering, data validation
  • Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting software (Sage, Tally, ERP systems)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger systems
