Job Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring it meets required parameters and specifications. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Production Planning: Plan and control production activities according to job requirements, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
  2. Team Coordination: Collaborate with the sales department to align production with customer needs and deliver high-quality results.
  3. Problem Solving: Address production issues promptly, taking appropriate actions or escalating concerns to the Managing Director.
  4. Human Resource Management: Optimize manpower utilization through strategic management and maintain a positive work environment.
  5. Quality Control: Maintain and improve quantity and quality without compromising standards, adhering to established protocols.
  6. Department Organization: Organize the production department for efficient operations and cost-effectiveness.
  7. Inventory Management: Coordinate with purchases, quality, and stores departments to maintain optimal stock levels.
  8. Prioritization: Set production priorities for engraving jobs based on customer demands and business needs.
  9. Tech Support: Provide technical assistance to employees as needed, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing.
  10. Requirements Planning: Anticipate and plan for production, electrical spares, equipment, and tools in advance to minimize disruptions.
  11. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Foster close relationships with Electrical, Mechanical, and Purchase departments to ensure seamless operations.
  12. Safety Measures: Implement safety protocols to protect employees within the department.
  13. Spare Parts Inventory: Maintain an optimal spare parts inventory in coordination with Purchase and Store departments.
  14. Administrative Control: Ensure effective administrative control over all production activities.
  15. Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
  16. Quality Management System: Implement and maintain the Quality Management System effectively in the production department.
  17. Reporting: Generate monthly production reports and compile an annual production report.
  18. Hiring/Termination: Handle hiring and termination of employees within the engraving department.
