Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled QE Automation Engineer to join our global workforce.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in automation testing for API and Web, with prior experience in desktop automation being an advantage. They should have hands-on experience in automation testing using Java and Selenium, as well as thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle models, test methodologies, and requirement comprehension.

A successful candidate will be able to design, develop, execute, and maintain test scenarios and test cases for APIs, establish testing as an integral part of the development process within cross-functional teams, and develop maintainable automated checks in collaboration with our development teams.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical skills, who is detail-oriented, and has good communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience with CI with Jenkins or other tools and prior work experience in Maven and GIT.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop test scenarios and test cases for APIs
  • Establish testing as an integral part of the development process within cross-functional teams
  • Develop maintainable automated checks in collaboration with development teams
  • Design web, mobile, or desktop applications across different platform offerings
  • Proactively suggest improvements in testing tools for better test coverage during automation
  • Detect and report defects and close follow-up to ensure closure of issues
  • Assess and bring continuous improvements to the overall quality
  • Work closely with the development team to debug any issue
  • Participate in scrum calls with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to proofs-of-concept on upcoming toolsets
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for production defects and improve test assets

Skill Requirements:

  • Expertise in Automation Testing for API and Web
  • Hands-on experience in automation testing using Java and Selenium
  • Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle models, test methodologies, and requirement comprehension
  • Good knowledge of behavior-driven development frameworks like Cucumber
  • Experience with CI with Jenkins or other tools
  • Prior work experience in Maven and GIT
  • Must have strong analytical skills and should be detail-oriented
  • Good communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills
