Assistant Professor in Speech Language Pathology

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Professor to join our faculty in the field of Speech Language Pathology.

  • Participating in faculty meetings and committees aimed at improving curriculum development, program evaluation, and departmental administration is essential.
  • Engaging with the broader academic and clinical community to promote our programs and establish partnerships that benefit students is a key aspect of this role.
  • You will supervise clinical practice within student training programs, ensuring students gain practical experience and meet professional competencies.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current trends and research in Speech Language Pathology, integrating this information into course content and teaching practices, is crucial.
  • Assisting in departmental administration, including budgeting, resource allocation, and scheduling, promoting effective operation and communication throughout the team, is also part of this role.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring students in undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Strong research skills and a record of publication in the field of Speech Language Pathology.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and faculty.
