About the Role
As an MEP Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed designs and specifications for various building systems. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Development: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to develop MEP designs that integrate seamlessly with overall building plans.
  • System Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and calculations to ensure that MEP designs meet performance criteria such as thermal comfort, indoor air quality, lighting levels, water supply, and drainage requirements.
  • Code Compliance: Stay updated on relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to MEP systems.
  • Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient technologies into MEP systems to minimize environmental impact and operating costs.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for MEP systems, considering factors such as material costs, labor expenses, and ongoing maintenance requirements.
  • Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to coordinate the implementation of MEP designs throughout the construction process.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in MEP design and engineering within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and MEP design tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Job Specification:
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • CAD Software Proficiency: Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed MEP drawings and models.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions to optimize MEP system performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
