Backend Technical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Technical Specialist to play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable, reliable, and high-performance back-end systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain back-end services, APIs, and server-side logic.
  • System Performance Enhancement: Optimize system performance to ensure seamless functionality and scalability.
  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Data Security and Integrity: Implement robust data storage solutions, ensuring security and data integrity.
  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve back-end issues in a timely manner.
  • Coding Standards and Documentation: Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and ease of collaboration.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in back-end development.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Back-end Development Experience: 3-5 years of experience in back-end development.
  • Programming Language Proficiency: Proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, PHP.
  • Laravel Framework Expertise: Strong experience with Laravel framework.
  • Frontend Technologies Familiarity: Experience with frontend technologies, especially ReactJS will be a plus.
  • APIs and Microservices Architecture: Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and web development frameworks.
  • Databases and Data Management: Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
  • Cloud Platforms and Containerization: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation tools like Docker.
  • Version Control Systems: Understanding of version control tools like Git.
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
