Job Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional professional to fill the position of Assistant Professor / Lecturer in Islamic Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and contributing to the academic excellence of our institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Islamic Studies
  • Conduct research in the field of Islamic Studies and publish scholarly articles
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Mentor students and provide guidance on academic and personal matters

Requirements:

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Islamic Studies or a related field from a recognized university
  • Experience in teaching and research in the field of Islamic Studies
  • Publishing scholarly articles and presenting papers at conferences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidates must have publications and experience as per HEC criteria for faculty appointments
  • The last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC

Ineligibility Criteria:

  • 3rd Division in academic career or weak academic profile
  • NUST employees with less than one year of service or lacking an NOC from the Head of Institution
  • Candidates in the process of pursuing the required degree
  • Medically unfit candidates

Selection Process:

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for tests or interviews
  • No TA/DA will be provided

  • Candidates serving in government departments or armed forces may apply after obtaining an NOC from their respective organizations
