Highly skilled Senior Software Engineers are sought after to join our engineering team as WordPress Backend Developers.

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress plugins, themes, and complex backend solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, customizing, and maintaining WordPress plugins and themes.
  • Designing and optimizing databases for high performance.
  • Integrating third-party APIs and services.
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing WordPress websites.
  • Ensuring security, scalability, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress core, with expertise in REST APIs, WP-CLI, and custom post types. Proficiency in Git version control and familiarity with server management are also essential.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required, along with 4+ years of WordPress backend development experience. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid understanding of WordPress security best practices and be able to optimize websites for speed and scalability.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with headless WordPress.
  • Familiarity with Laravel or other PHP frameworks.
  • Understanding of Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
