Job Responsibilities

The role involves overseeing the overall performance of a healthcare facility. This includes developing and implementing strategies to improve patient care and ensuring compliance with provincial, territorial, and federal regulations.

  1. Develop and implement effective budgeting systems;
  2. Take stock of supplies and equipment, and ensure timely ordering and maintenance;
  3. Identify and hire suitable candidates for various positions within the organization;
  4. Establish new policies and procedures and ensure staff are aware of changes and updates;
  5. Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing constructive feedback and support where necessary;
  6. Conduct regular physical examinations, tests, or procedures to diagnose patients accurately;
  7. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, adhering to relevant legislation and standards;
  8. Offer personalized recommendations for lifestyle improvements to enhance patient quality of life;
  9. Prescribe medication, treatment, or therapy as necessary, taking into account individual patient needs;
  10. Clearly explain test results and medical procedures to patients and their families;
  11. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices;
  12. Consult with colleagues to discuss specialized patient needs and develop comprehensive care plans.
Job Specification
